[Card Review]

5th card review from "SAGA" is SAGE. It's in blue, drawing group.

It seems same as PEASANT, but because it affects all hands, the card is completely difference. PEASANT is a card to fix your hand for finish, SAGE shake up all fixed hands destroy former strategies.

Actually, SAGE change its face by the time when you use it. Suppose you use it in early game. All player's hand is not so difference from start, so it affects so small. But it affects different element of game. Can you find it ? Yes, the deck. If you use SAGE on early game or with many card-collecting players, It decrease number of cards in the deck drastically. It increase possibility of running out of deck, same as KING or TYCOON.

In the middle game, it's a pest. While each player has each plan to finish the game, then you play SAGE, everybody scream for what happens.

SAGE has it's biggest power in endgame. Even in early game, it decrease big number of cards in the deck, so what happens if you use it in endgame with small number of cards left in deck ? Yes, it let the deck runs out and finishes the game. From the player who plays SAGE draws each hand. Sometime, some player cannot draw number of cards he or she hat to because the deck has no cards left. At that case, some player can end with their hand empty, and the game is over.

When the game ends by running out of the deck, cards in field are plus and cards in hand are minus. So, the player played SAGE have to hold some cards, but some other players have no cards. If you don't want to do it for a player's penalty, SAGE in endgame is a serious problem.

Do not keep SAGE until endgame.
