4th card review from "SAGA" is PEASANT. It's in blue, drawing and hand fixing group.

Farming is a foundation of the nation ... even in "SAGA". First player have to start the game withaout any information, so maybe that player doesn't want to play MERCHANT or THIEF that can be a help of other player. However, if that player goes aggressive from beginning, he or she can be a target of other players' fire. PEASANT can be a safety play for first move.

There're other reasons to play PEASANT in first turn. In "SAGA", there're 12 PEASANT in the deck and it is the biggest. 1 out of 6 is PEASANT, you can find it in your initial hand probably. This is one of the advantage of PEASANT. If you want to finish the game by card-playing, you want to have several number of the same cards in your hand and play them in once. It can finish the game surprisingly and avoid other players' disturbing like MERCHANT. Because of the number of PEASANT, you can have several number of them.

The effect is not so impressive, but do the good job. You can avoid not only "cannot play" cards like DEMON or HEROINE, but also cards like WITCH or TYCOON that is a problem for finishing the game. PEASANT is a good way to discard them. Even if you don't have them right now, just a player played CLOWN and you can be passed DEMON from your right. PEASANT is a insurance for them and keep yourself safe.
